This month the Council reflects on the launch of “phase 2” of the flagship “National Commission on Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers” in anticipation of setting new policy recommendations for Congress, the Administratoin, and policy leaders in 2023. Deborah Wince-Smith’s August Forbes.com article celebrates Labor Day and the contribution of American labor in turning the United States into the economic and technological superpower of today, while reflecting on pivotal moments in our nation’s history. The Council will be hosting the 2022 National Competitiveness Forum in Washington, D.C. on December 8th and 9th – more details to come. The Council also welcomes two new members: Meghan Hughes and M. Elizabeth Magill.
