Tennessee Competitiveness Conversation Summary Report

From April 25-26, 2024, the Council on Competitiveness held the first installment of its landmark "Competitiveness Conversations Across America Series," under the auspices of the National Commission on Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers. Hosted in Nashville, Tennessee in partnership with the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Vanderbilt University, this event, " Competitiveness Conversation: Tennessee – Redefining Place & Building the Future Innovation Ecosystem for Mobility, Energy & Manufacturing," brought together leaders in industry, academia, government, the national laboratory enterprise, and more to explore what is driving the state's rapid economic growth and growing importance in America's innovation economy.

This crucial dialogue was hosted by National Commissioners Daniel Diermeier, Chancellor of Vanderbilt University, and Donde Plowman, Chancellor of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, along with Council on Competitiveness President and CEO Deborah Wince-Smith.
