Katie Ottenweller joined Google in June 2023, where her team is working to achieve 24/7 carbon free energy in the Southeast. Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. Through products and platforms like Search, Maps, Gmail, Android, Google Play, Google Cloud, Chrome and YouTube, Google plays a meaningful role in the daily lives of billions of people and has become one of the most widely known companies in the world. Prior to joining Google, Katie was the Southeast Policy Director at the Energy Foundation, where she supported grantees across a thirteen state region focused on equitable decarbonization. Katie is originally from Tallahassee, Florida, and is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Columbia University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Georgia. Katie lives in Atlanta with her husband and two completely wild children.
