Laurie Giandomenico is vice president and chief acceleration officer at MITRE. In this role, she leads strategic development, growth efforts, and the MITRE accelerator, which first created MITRE Engenuity, and launched a public company, SecureG. She advances MITRE Labs state-of-the-art capabilities to create generational impact for public good. Giandomenico also leads MITRE’s corporate development efforts, working with portfolio leadership to cultivate and execute business strategy.
Giandomenico joined MITRE in 1991 as a member of the technical staff, and after graduate school joined McKinsey & Company in 2000. Since 2002, she has held multiple executive-level positions in publicly traded enterprise software firms, including Pegasystems (BPM/CRM software) and EnerNOC (now Enel energy company).
She most recently managed her own strategy and marketing consulting firm, Rocket Strategy LLC, to work with senior leadership to develop and implement business, brand, and marketing strategy at the corporate and product levels.
Giandomenico has a bachelor’s degree in electrical/biomedical engineering from the University of Connecticut, and a master’s degree in anthropology & archeology from the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University, where she also earned a Ph.D., focused on nutritional health and organizational development, from the School of Human Ecology.
