Compete Connect - October 2022 Edition

The Council eagerly anticipates hosting the 2022 National Competitiveness Forum in Washington, D.C. on December 8th and 9th. The forum serves as an opportunity for members and guests to reconnect in-person and reflect on the last year as well as discuss the Council’s mission and agenda for the year ahead. President and CEO Deborah Wince-Smith participated in the National Hellenic Society’s Heritage Weekend while EVP Chad Evans attended a series of events in Japan, advancing bilateral and multilateral work and partnerships on behalf of the Council. The Council celebrates its members and partners various developments this month including the Oak Ridge National Laboratory breaking ground on a new facility attended by Thomas Zacharia and Secretary Granholm; National Commissioner President Pines hosting a forum on the development of the COVID-19 vaccine with the Chairman and CEO of Pzifer; ASU’s top 10 university ranking for its dedication to community and national service; and others. The Council also welcomes new members: Dr. Santa J Ono (Executive Committee Member); and Dr. Deborah L. Crawford, Dr. Andre Marshall, Dr. Shashank Priya, and Dr. Vassilis Syrmos (TLSI).
