Bridging University-Industry-Society to Advance Sustainability

On Wednesday, December 6, the Council on Competitiveness and the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils will host a series of conversations with global leaders from business, academia, national laboratories and research organizations, and the public sector to advance sustainability challenges under discussion at COP28.
Under the auspices of an intimate, interactive “Innovation Arena” in the Impact Hub (DP World Pavilion) of Expo City Dubai, conversation topics will include:

- Developing and Deploying Tech at Speed and Scale – Connecting Energy, Food, Water and Health

Two additional resources in the sustainability area from the Council and the GFCC.
The first is a concept paper setting the foundation for Phase Two of the Council on Competitiveness' National Commission on Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers. The Future of Sustainability: Accelerating Innovation in Clean Energy Technology section of the report focuses on Working Group 1 and sustainability issues.
The second is a new “Call to Action”: Innovate the Sustainable Future report from the Global Federation on Competitiveness Councils. The report offers recommendations to stakeholders across all domains on how to innovate and advance global sustainability goals – along three major axes: Resources, People, and Systems.
