The Council on Competitiveness released a powerful statement endorsed by over 40 college and university leaders calling on Congress to fully fund the "Science" portion of the CHIPS & Science Act. Arguing that the global competitiveness challenges from China and others that drove passage of the Act in 2022 are as great today as they were two years ago, the statement calls on Congress to "meet the moment" and make the investments needed for the U.S. to compete and lead in critical research and technology development.
