Peter J. S. Heim is the Chief Technology Officer of Thorlabs Quantum Electronics, Inc., a vertically integrated manufacturer of semiconductor optical devices. Dr. Heim was the co-founder of Quantum Photonics, Inc. where he was actively involved in establishing a successful product family of semiconductor lasers and amplifiers. He holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland, and a B.A. and M.A., both in physics, from Dartmouth College.
