Ms. Cristina Farmus
Interim Vice President, Industry Partnerships

Cristina Farmus is the Interim Vice President for the Office of Industry Partnerships (OIP) at Purdue University, which serves as the portal to Purdue for corporate partners. In this role, she links companies, faculty, staff, and students to create mutually beneficial partnerships that accelerate innovation and create lasting impact.

Ms. Farmus brings over 20 years of experience at the intersection of academia, industry, and government, through projects related to semiconductors, pharmaceutical manufacturing, energy centers, and advanced manufacturing. Her expertise spans R&D administration, workforce development, consortium formation, and partnership management.

Ms. Farmus has previously served as Chief of Staff to the Purdue Executive Vice President, where she participated in the launch of the Krach Institute for Tech Diplomacy at Purdue. She also served as Managing Director for the Purdue-led Center for Innovative and Strategic Transformation of Alkane Resources (CISTAR), one of the flagship Engineering Research Centers (ERCs) funded by the National Science Foundation.

Ms. Farmus holds a BS from Transilvania University in Romania, an MBA from the Daniels School of Business at Purdue University, and a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
