Andrew joined the Massachusetts Port Authority in 1995 and has served in a variety of roles, including waterfront master planning, port planning and strategy, and real estate development leadership. Since 2018, as Chief Development Officer, he has overseen Massport’s commercial and maritime industrial real estate portfolio spanning more than 400 acres of waterfront property in Charlestown, East Boston, and South Boston. The assets, which range from more than 8 million sf of mixed-use commercial development in the South Boston Waterfront to the historic Boston Fish Pier, shipyards and marinas, and the Boston Autoport, generate a sustained revenue stream Massport invests in its port facilities. This work involves a unique blend of real estate, economic development, and placemaking and balances waterfront development with the protecting and supporting the working port. Before joining Massport, he worked as an environmental consultant with a focus on environmental policy and sustainability. He has a bachelor’s degree in geological sciences from Harvard University and a master’s degree in public policy and planning from Tufts University.
