Charles’ journey with Geekdom commenced as a Business Development Manager in 2017. Building upon his success in that role, he quickly transitioned into the role of Membership Director, before being appointed Geekdom’s CEO in 2019.

In the past 5 years as CEO, Charles’ commitment, and passion for service to Geekdom and its community have played an integral part in the greater growth and development of San Antonio and its entrepreneurship ecosystem. Including, but not limited to achievements such as re-shifting Geekdom’s mission, the administration of Launch SA in collaboration with the City of San Antonio, and the creation of the Accelerate South Texas Fund - a nonprofit fund created for the betterment and advancements of entrepreneurs in the south Texas region.

Charles leverages his background in engineering and technology to create innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, establish strategic partnerships, and expand Geekdom's impact throughout the city. After having grown up in the vicinity of Detroit and Flint, Michigan, and witnessing significant challenges in that community, he is now invigorated to contribute his utmost efforts in the transformation and development of San Antonio, the city he now proudly calls home. In addition, Charles also served in the United States Air Force for 8 years as an Airborne Cryptologic Language Analyst. During his tenure, he focused on the collection and communication of intelligence and training, completing his duty as Staff Sergeant.

Charles lives in Texas and is a devoted father to his two phenomenal daughters, Penelope, and Amelia. In his free time, Charles enjoys traveling and hiking around the country to national parks such as the Olympic, Grand Canyon, Teton, Acadia, and to his favorite so far, Zion.
