Since 2022, Jim Stutelberg has been the Chief Executive Officer of Primient — a leading producer of food and industrial ingredients made from plant-based, renewable sources with manufacturing operations in the US, Mexico, and Brazil.
With over 30 years of leadership experience in large scale, global manufacturing businesses, Jim brings a strong focus on safety and operational excellence to Primient. Prior to the agriculture processing space, Jim spent decades in the specialty chemicals industry (PPG and Dow Corning), where he held several commercial leadership and general management roles in the U.S., and China, where he lived with his family for 5 years.
Jim holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and earned his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jim is a proud husband and father of four daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys attending sporting events, spending time with his family, and staying intellectually challenged through reading and listening to leading podcasts on history, current events, and emerging trends in business and leadership.
