Born and raised in New Mexico (and Congregation Albert), David is the youngest of 4 and the father of 2. He works at Sandia and supports several programs that leverage the people, technologies, and facilities of the Labs for regional economic development. These include the Sandia Science & Technology Park, the Center for Collaboration and Commercialization, and the Quantum Systems Accelerator. He currently serves as board chair for the New Mexico Technology Council and vice chair for the Federal Laboratory Consortium.
