For the last 15 years Jason Pruet has led large efforts at the intersection of science and national security. Dr. Pruet is currently the Senior Director of the National Security AI Office at Los Alamos. In this role he has the privilege of working with a diverse group of brilliant people to harness the power of AI for solving the nation’s most important challenges while building protections against its potential harms. His other positions have included chief of an intelligence branch examining foreign weapons programs, lead for a computational nuclear physics group at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, and Director of the Office of Engineering in NNSA.
