The Hon. Jim Pillen
Governor
The State of Nebraska

Governor Jim Pillen’s a farmer, veterinarian, and commonsense Nebraskan honored to serve the people of his home state.

Faith and family are at the root of Gov. Pillen’s life, and he’s been married to Suzanne for more than 40 years. They have four children: Sarah, Brock, Polly, Izic – and seven grandkids.

A two-time First-Team All-Big Eight defensive back for the legendary Coach Tom Osborne, Gov. Pillen earned an Animal Science degree from the University of Nebraska and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University.

Back in Nebraska, he built Pillen Family Farms and later started DNA Genetics – both are now multigenerational family-run businesses.

As the first Governor of the state from agriculture in over 100 years, Gov. Pillen is proud to brag about the ‘Good Life’ and the great people of Nebraska. The pillars of his mission are supporting our kids, slashing taxes, growing agriculture, and promoting conservative values.
