Lee Ellen Drechsler’s career at Procter & Gamble spans technical leadership roles across Beauty Care, Baby Care and Corporate R&D, with responsibilities from upstream disruptive innovation to product supply. Lee Ellen leads Disruptive Platform Innovation for the Company as well as critical disciplines including Analytical Sciences, Chemistry, Biosciences, Process, Packaging, and Connect + Develop. She is the global leader of sustainability innovation, delivering on the company’s commitment to superior consumer products that are sustainable.

Through her technical expertise and deep understanding of P&G’s business model, Lee Ellen is leading the identification of novel innovation opportunities and accelerating the way P&G delivers game-changing and sustainable products, packages, and services. Her teams leverage early in-market learning, proprietary and open-source datasets, and productive collaborations with world class academic and business partners to deliver consumer-preferred solutions - scientifically backed and robust at the scale required to reach billions of consumers around the world. Several innovations initiated by her team are transforming industries beyond P&G via business partnerships across the supply chain.

Innovation highlights:
• Championed award-winning global recycling initiatives, including efforts to enable recycling of packaging plastics, shaping the future of polymers
• Advocated for accelerating collaborations with academia and startups, enabling the Connect + Develop approach to innovation at P&G
• Led the discovery and early industrialization of a new waterless product platform, now in market as Tide EVO, Olay Melts, and EC30 personal care products.
• Advocates for closer partnership between academic institutions, national laboratories, and corporations on STEM education at all academic levels, around the world. This includes work with the NSF and US National Academies, A*STAR Singapore, and several European public research systems.
