Prof. Maajida Murdoch
Adjunct Professor of Physics Morgan State University

Maajida Murdock is a physicist and mathematics educator whose work focuses on physics and mathematics education, Quantum Information Science (QIS) education, and equity-centered STEM learning across K–12, undergraduate, and informal settings. She integrates quantum science into her classrooms and leads teacher professional development through organizations such as the Institute for Robust Quantum Simulation, the National Q-12 Educational Partnership, Quantum for All, and Qubit by Qubit, equipping educators with effective strategies to advance quantum education in K–12 contexts.

Maajida is a doctoral candidate in Science Education at Morgan State University and holds master’s degrees in Physics and in Mathematics Education. She has taught physics and mathematics across K–12 and higher education and has presented peer-reviewed and invited work at national venues, including AAPT, APS, AAAS, and NSF-sponsored initiatives. Currently, she serves as President of the Maryland Association of Science Teachers and contributes to national STEM education and science policy efforts.
