
Maben Jimenez is the Assistant General Manager of The Aerospace Corporation's experiments lab, xLab. In this role, she is responsible for leading the acceleration of innovation through prototyping and directing organizational resources and operations to respond to mission needs.
Maben joined Aerospace as a member of the technical staff in the Structures Department, where she provided structural analyses on a variety of programs of national significance. After rotating through the Advanced Technology Division, she returned to the Structures Department as manager of the Space Structures Section. Maben then became a senior project engineer in the Launch Operations Division, where she was responsible for delivering independent acoustic, vibration, shock, coupled loads, and separation analyses to her Air Force customers. She then moved onto roles of increasing leadership and responsibility, working rapid acquisitions of space systems as well as for exquisite systems.
Maben has over 20 years of experience in the space industry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from Northwestern University.
