Dr. Matt McNulty is Associate Director of the Tufts University Center for Cellular Agriculture (TUCCA). Matt is deeply involved in program administration, teaching, and research of biotechnological innovation with promise to revolutionize the way we approach food production and sustainability. He leverages his foundation in bioprocessing to approach innovation and workforce development from a systems-oriented focus on commercialization bottlenecks. Current activities include managing the TUCCA Industry Consortium, techno-economic analysis of industrial biotechnologies, and developing research infrastructure initiatives. Matt’s professional experience spans biologics process engineering in a GMP environment at Sanofi, biopharma operations analysis and change management consulting at N-SIDE, and a research fellowship investigating sustainable food whitespaces at the Good Food Institute. Matt holds a PhD in chemical engineering from UC Davis and has authored 15 peer-reviewed publications.
