Brooke Coleman is a leading national advocate for biomanufacturing, biosolutions, and low carbon fuels at the state and federal level. He specializes in building and leading business coalitions dedicated to defending, enabling, or enacting industrial and clean energy policies.

Brooke Coleman co-founded and serves as the Executive Director of the American Alliance for Biomanufacturing (AAB) – a coalition of leaders in the U.S. biomanufacturing industry working together to accelerate the commercial deployment of bio-based products and technologies.

Mr. Coleman has testified before the U.S. Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives on various issues related to biomanufacturing and clean energy, including fuel regulations, performance standards, federal appropriations, and tax. He is a recognized authority in many areas related to energy and the environment, including the federal Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (CA LCFS), carbon lifecycle accounting, Reformulated Gasoline (RFG) programs, energy tax, and various other programs at the state and federal levels.

Mr. Coleman is also known for his work running targeted advocacy and political campaigns. He is the Director of Fuels America, a national coalition dedicated to protecting the federal Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) and defending the U.S. renewable fuels industry. He served as the chief strategist and spokesperson for clean energy advocacy campaigns during the 2008, 2010 and 2012 federal election cycles. He represented the advanced biofuel industry during the development of the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (CA LCFS) and spearheaded an initiative in Massachusetts to pass the world’s first cellulosic biofuels excise tax exemption. In recent years, he led a multistate campaign to successfully legalize 15 percent ethanol blends in Arizona, Nevada, and Montana.

Mr. Coleman is a graduate of Wesleyan University, the Northeastern University School of Law, and is a member of the Massachusetts State Bar.
