Dr. Rick Muller is Senior Vice President and Technical Lead at IonQ Federal, where he lowers barriers to government adoption of quantum technologies to improve national and economic security. Prior to joining IonQ, Rick was Director of the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), Senior Manager of Quantum and Advanced Microsystems at Sandia National Laboratories, and Director of the DOE National Quantum Initiative Research Center Quantum Systems Accelerator. Dr. Muller has a BA in Chemistry from Rice University, and a PhD in Quantum Chemistry from Caltech under Prof Bill Goddard.
