Steve Hart is a co-founder of Viasat, where he has been a driving force in pioneering advanced digital communications and satellite networking systems. He has been inducted into the Space & Satellite Hall of Fame.

Steve is Chair Emeritus of the UC San Diego Foundation Board of Trustees and a member of the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering Council of Advisors. He holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an MA in Mathematics from UC San Diego.
