Todd was appointed as Berkeley Lab’s Chief Strategic Partnerships Officer (CSPO) and head of the Strategic Partnerships Office (SPO) in March 2019. Throughout his career, Todd has focused on developing transformative technologies that bolster innovation, national security and economic prosperity across the pharmaceutical, food science, biomanufacturing, advanced energy and chemical R&D sectors.

In his role as CSPO, he is committed to catalyzing industry and academic partnerships and accelerating the lab-to-market deployment of breakthroughs in biomanufacturing, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, critical minerals, and other scientific research at the Lab.

Todd received a BS in Biological Chemistry from the University of Chicago, a PhD in Biophysics from UCSF and an MBA from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
