August 6-8, 2024

Boise, Idaho

To remain competitive in the next economy, the United States must expand its innovation footprint and capitalize on the untapped talent, technology, and infrastructure across America.

Under the auspices of the National Commission on Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers, the Council on Competitiveness has launched, “Competitiveness Conversations Across America”: a series of regional summits and fora in all corners of the United States to uncover local best practices in amplifying innovation capacity and capability, and to elevate and deploy these practices to national attention.

The Mountain West Competitiveness Conversation focused on the region’s emergence as a global innovation leader, specifically exploring its growing importance in semiconductors, clean energy, advanced nuclear, and cybersecurity. Leadership panels discussed strategies for accelerating innovation, boosting competitiveness, and increasing prosperity and security in the Mountain West and the United States.
